Cath is a principal geologist with 20 years’ diversified experience working on a variety of mining and civil engineering projects in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia. She has an MSc in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines, Cornwall, UK.
Cath has experience in project evaluation and 3D geological and structural modelling. She specializes in mineral resource estimation and classification; resource geology and evaluation; optimizing sampling programs; data validation and QAQC; mineral resource technical reviews and NI 43-101 compliant reports for various commodities.
Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Will is a principal geotechnical engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in rock engineering for both mining and civil projects in Africa, Europe, Central Asia and the Americas. He has an MSc in Mining (Geotechnical) Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines, Cornwall, UK.
Will’s main expertise lies in due diligence, site investigation, stability analyses and geotechnical aspects of open pit and underground mine design. Focused input has been for mining studies, crown pillar stability, mining closure, rock slope investigations, stability analysis, rock reinforcement design, underground mine design, dilution studies, stress measurement and geotechnical advice for open pit and underground mine operations.
Projects that she has worked on include both near surface and underground gold deposits, copper-gold porphyries, lithium and graphite; from early stage exploration through to operating mines.
Cath at the Office:
Cath is a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 and has authored a number of independent reports for various commodities. She works closely with project personnel to develop robust geological models and the geostatistical analysis that will support good resource estimates. She also advises on the development of best practices for core logging and sample selection programs; implementation of quality control programs; database management; data analysis and verification.
Projects that he has experience in have included base and precious metals, gypsum, iron ore and salt. Will has worked in many rock types and geological environments.
Will at the Office:
Will works closely with mine operational personnel to provide focused geotechnical input aimed at providing solutions to geotechnical problems and operational improvement. Will has provided expert geotechnical advice for due diligence work in Africa, South America and Canada. He has conducted stress measurements using a number of methods for projects in Portugal, Kashmir, Colombia and Malaysia. He also provides geotechnical support and training for the collection of auditable geotechnical data for mining studies.
